01The short version
Midtown Dash collects nothing. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no cookies and no third-party SDKs. The game never sends your scores, your settings or anything about you to us or to anyone else. The few things it remembers — your best score and three settings — stay on your device.
This policy covers Midtown Dash on the web
(tools.collectorpatrick.online/midtowndash/ and impatience.collectorpatrick.online,
in a browser or installed to your home screen)
and the Midtown Dash apps for iOS and Android. They are the same game and follow the same rules.
02What stays on your device
Saved in your browser's local storage (or the app's own storage). None of it ever leaves the device.
midtownDashBest | Your best score, so the game can tell you when you beat it. |
midtownDashMuted | Whether you muted the sound. |
midtownDashMotion | Your full / reduced motion choice, if you changed it from your device's setting. |
midtownDashBrakeSeen | That you have already been shown how to brake, so the tip isn't repeated. |
mdA2HS | iPhone and iPad Safari only: how many times the “Add to Home Screen” tip was shown, or that you dismissed it. |
On the web, the game's own files (its pages, code and icons) are also kept in your browser's offline cache so it can start without a connection, for example in the subway. That cache holds only the game, never anything about you.
To delete all of it, clear this site's data in your browser settings, or uninstall the app. There is nothing stored anywhere else to delete.
03What goes over the network
Only what it takes to deliver the game itself. The game adds no identifiers to any of it.
- Loading and updating the game. Your browser (or the app's web view) downloads the game's files
from the site you play on (
tools.collectorpatrick.onlineorimpatience.collectorpatrick.online), and the offline cache checks there for a newer version when you are online. Like any web request, this reveals your IP address and browser type to the server that answers it, as part of delivering the files. The game does not send anything else with these requests. - Street settings. On
impatience.collectorpatrick.onlineonly, the game downloads one small settings file (tuning.json) from that same site each time it starts. It sets how often the different tourist encounters appear. Downloading it sends nothing from the game, and the file holds no information about you. - A backup copy of the game engine. If the game's bundled copy of its engine (Phaser) fails to
load, the web page fetches the identical file once from the public jsDelivr CDN
(
cdn.jsdelivr.net). That request reveals your IP address and browser type to jsDelivr, under jsDelivr's own privacy policy. It carries no information from the game. - The platform announcer. In the subway, the game can speak station announcements using your device's built-in speech voices. Some browsers provide certain voices through an online service run by the browser's maker; if yours does, the browser sends the announcement text (fixed lines such as a station name, never anything about you) to that service. Muting the game stops the announcements.
Nothing else. The game has no server of its own that receives data, and no code that uploads anything.
04Sharing a run
The game-over card can copy a link to your run (its world “seed”) to your clipboard. It does this only when you tap the button, and the link contains only that seed. What you do with it is up to you.
05Children
Midtown Dash collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
06Changes to this policy
If a future version adds anything that sends data — Game Center on iOS, Google Play Games on Android, crash reporting or analytics — this policy will be updated to say exactly what is sent, and to whom, before that version is released, together with the App Store privacy label and the Google Play data-safety form. The effective date at the top changes with every revision.
